Macon’s Washington Memorial Library: 100 years and Counting!

Join us on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Georgia Archives for the Fourth Education Workshop and 2026 – 2027 GGS Board Installation sponsored by the Georgia Genealogical Society (GGS).

Join Muriel Jackson as she journeys through time with the Washington Memorial Library! Celebrating their 100-year anniversary, Muriel will discuss the library’s origins and highlight one of its most beloved departments: the Genealogical and Historical Room and the Middle Georgia Archives. Mrs. Jackson will share the story behind its creation and discuss services offered to its patrons.
