Celebrate 15 Years of AAHGS Richmond!

About this event

The Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS) Greater Richmond, Virginia Chapter is officially celebrating 15 incredible years of honoring our legacy, celebrating our community, and preserving our future.

This will be a celebration you won't want to miss. Join us on December 14th for a special afternoon where you will:

  • Connect & Mingle during a festive hors d’oeuvres reception.

  • Be Inspired by our incredible Guest Speaker, Liza Mickens, the great-great-granddaughter of Richmond trailblazer and visionary Maggie Lena Walker.

  • Applaud Our Own as we recognize dedicated members during our chapter awards.

  • Honor a Legend with a special tribute to Dr. Carter G. Woodson, in collaboration with the Richmond Branch of ASALH.

We want YOU to be in the room with us for this historic moment.
